Frequently Asked Questions

IGDownloader is a free online tool that lets you download publicly available content from Instagram — such as photos, videos, Reels, Stories and profile pictures — simply by pasting the post’s URL into our interface. No install, no login required.

You can download standard posts (photos & videos), Instagram Reels, Stories & Highlights, profile images (Insta DP), and carousel posts. All downloads are from public Instagram accounts only.

Yes — our service is completely free. There’s no subscription, no hidden fees and no requirement to create an account. You simply paste a URL and download.

No — you do not need to log in to Instagram, and you do not need to provide any Instagram credentials. IGDownloader works independently for publicly available content.

No — IGDownloader only supports downloading from public Instagram posts. Content from private accounts is not accessible without the account owner’s permission.

We support high-quality downloads (including original resolution where available) of photos and videos. For best results, ensure the Instagram post you’re downloading from was uploaded in high resolution.

Content downloaded via IGDownloader must be from public Instagram profiles and used responsibly. Downloading for personal use (such as offline viewing) is generally acceptable, but reposting, commercial use or distribution without permission may infringe copyright or Instagram’s terms.

IGDownloader works via the web, so you can use it on any device with a browser — such as smartphones (iOS/Android), tablets, laptops or desktops. It supports major browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

No rigid limits. You can download as many public Instagram posts as you like using IGDownloader, subject only to the availability of the content and Instagram’s own restrictions.

First ensure that the Instagram post is still public and accessible in your browser. Then, copy the exact post URL (via the “…” menu on Instagram → Copy Link). Paste it into IGDownloader and click Download. If it still fails, the post may have been removed or Instagram may have changed their access restrictions. Try again later.
